My presumption was that he was trying to learn how to train dogs, but that was quickly blown away by his obvious command of dog training. As I watched him and later talked with him, I realized that he had a rather amazing depth of understanding about how to bring out a dog's ability to do whatever was required. I kept in touch with him, and last year began to bring my American Pit Bull Terrier to his training sessions. With each session my understanding was exponentially increased. I believe that most people do not understand the subtleties of dog training. Rob has gotten my dog, Bello, to do so many amazing things that I can't wait to see what will develop in the future. I found enough information, so I knew that mine was capable of doing more than just sit, down and stay. So I made the decision of looking for a kennel club in my area. I found very few, so I called the nearest to me. They sounded like “yes we can help you”. I started training every Saturday and Sunday, but I noticed that training sessions were short. However, I continued the training for about three months. Unfortunately it wasn’t what I expected. The Schutzhund club was too busy working their dogs to pay attention to a novice and his dog. I have spent many years and hundreds of dollars trying to correct these problems with multiple dog trainers. We did finally get the problems down to a fairly manageable condition. My daughter recently brought a home a four month old pit bull puppy to put into this pack. Needless to say, I had some reservations! I wanted information about pit bulls, specifically what to expect with my other dogs and our cats. The President of the Lone Star Pit Bull Club gave me Rob Boudreau's name. Rob has been a wealth of information about pit bulls and dog behavior in general. I enrolled our puppy in basic obedience with him and she is doing well. Not only that , but Rob also worked with my other dogs and I have seen more results in 3 lessons with him than with any of the other trainers that I have used. If any future problems arise, I know he will be there to help and support, even if it means coming to my home to work on them. I feel that I have found a trainer that not only knows what he is doing, but one that truly cares about my dogs and my family!
